Introduction:
The Initiative for Gender Equality and Sexual Reproductive Health (IGE-SRH) is excited to announce the launch of a new economic empowerment program specifically designed for LBQTI individuals in Nigeria. As part of this initiative, we are calling for dedicated individuals to step forward as focal persons in Edo, and Rivers State. This is your chance to play a pivotal role in transforming lives through vocational training and community empowerment.
About the Program:
The economic empowerment program aims to equip LBQTI individuals with practical vocational skills, enhancing their employment opportunities and fostering economic independence. The focal persons will be instrumental in overseeing the program’s activities, liaising with participants, and ensuring the successful implementation of training sessions within their respective states.
Role of a Focal Person:
As a focal person, you will be the cornerstone of our outreach efforts, acting as the primary contact between IGE-SRH and the people in training. Your responsibilities will include:
- Monitoring the progress of the trainees and providing regular updates to IGE-SRH.
- Ensuring that the program meets its goals and adheres to its mission of supporting LBQTI individuals.
- Commit to checking on trainees twice a month.

We are looking for individuals who:
- Are passionate about economic empowerment and the welfare of LBQTI communities.
- Reside in Edo and Rivers State.
- Identify as part of the LBQTI community.
