Advocacy & Policy Associate
The Initiative for Gender Equality & Sexual Reproductive Health (IGE-SRH) is seeking a dynamic and strategic Advocacy & Policy Associate to lead and strengthen our policy engagement and advocacy efforts.
We are looking for a professional who is passionate about advancing gender equality, sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR), and inclusive policy reform in Nigeria.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement advocacy and policy action plans
- Monitor and analyze legislative and policy developments
- Draft policy briefs, position papers, and advocacy materials
- Engage policymakers, civil society actors, and development partners
- Coordinate advocacy campaigns and stakeholder dialogues
- Document advocacy outcomes and prepare periodic reports
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Law, Political Science, Public Policy, International Relations, Gender Studies, or related field (Master’s degree is an advantage)
- Minimum of 3–5 years experience in advocacy, policy analysis, or governance work
- Strong policy research and writing skills
- Experience engaging government institutions or legislative actors
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Strong commitment to human rights, gender equality, and SRHR
